| President Jeanette Bendula sends greetings. The Beer can is 50! Pop one open and let the party begin. Convention was in Allentown, PA. Sponsored by Stroh's. After they (Stroh's) announced the Detroit brewery would be closed and production would increase at Macungie, one could only wonder if they did this because we were coming? The officers are talking about buying one of those new fangled things called a "personal computer". The Beerhunter tours Wisconsin. Koch in Dunkirk closed and was purchased by Genesee. Pabst brewery closes in Newark. An amateur named James Koch started brewing a new beer called "Samuel Adams". A history of Krueger Brewing Co. made for good reading because of their being the first to can a beer! Yuengling changes hands. Don't worry, Richard "Dick" Yuengling senior sold the brewery to his son Dick Jr. It's still in the family! The Eastern Coast Breweriana Association is 15 years old! Happy Birthday! |
