A little bit about who we are and how we got started The Eastern Coast Breweriana Association, or E.C.B.A., is a group of individuals dedicated to the preservation of the history of the American Brewing Industry through Breweriana Collectibles. Spanning over some 400 years. The first beer made in the US, or Colonies, dates back to 1587, when Virginia Colonists used corn to brew ale, and the rest is History! Some of you may ask, "What is Breweriana?". Simply put, Breweriana covers a wide range of different types of advertising articles used to promote each individual breweries product. The variety and array of different types of advertising is astounding. This is one of the reasons why collecting Breweriana has become so popular, because at one time, almost every small town had a Brewery of it's own! Many collectors now specialize in Breweries from their hometown. Others specialize in a certain type of advertising, for example: Coasters, Labels, Trays, Signs, Openers, Tap Knobs, etc. The list goes on. There is also a whole new generation of collectors
who specialize in Micro-Brewery advertising! Micro-Brewing is in
part responsible for the resurrection of interest in Breweriana
collections. We have a group of individuals who collect nothing
but Micro-Brewery advertising.
We invite you to look throughout the website to get an idea of what our association is all about. If you are interested in finding out more information about becoming a member, please check out the membership page. All other questions can be directed to members listed on the contacts page.
